Rudolph and Sletten, Inc., has been a leader in California construction for almost fifty years, building everything from biotech laboratories and medical facilities to corporate campuses and educational institutions. Through our online application process, we seek team players who will work with us to carry on that tradition. Because we gather certain types of personal information about those who apply for a position, we want to help you understand how Rudolph and Sletten handles information that you submit through Rudolph and Sletten’s online, Applicant Self-Service Center.

This Policy applies only to Rudolph and Sletten's Applicant Self-Service Center, the online recruiting tool that you were using when you clicked through to this Policy. This Policy does not apply to any other site that Rudolph and Sletten owns or operates.

The Personal Information We Collect About You

The only information that Rudolph and Sletten collects about you through the online application process is the information that you submit to Rudolph and Sletten through the Applicant Self-Service Center. Rudolph and Sletten may collect other information about you “offline”, for example, through an interview or reference checks.

How We Use Your Personal Information

Rudolph and Sletten will use the information that you submit online, as well as the information that it collects about you offline, to decide whether to offer you a position. If you are hired, Rudolph and Sletten will use the information as necessary to administer the employment relationship. Rudolph and Sletten will retain the information you submit in your online application consistent with applicable state and federal law.

Sharing Your Personal Information with Third Parties

Rudolph and Sletten will not sell any information that you submit with your online application to brokers, marketing firms or to any other third party.

We may extend an offer of employment to you subject to the completion of a background check. In those circumstances, we will share the personal information that you have submitted online with a third party who conducts background checks on Rudolph and Sletten’s behalf. Rudolph and Sletten will authorize the background check provider to use your information only in connection with the job application process. Rudolph and Sletten will authorize the background check provider to disclose to third parties only the minimum information necessary to complete the background check and only for that purpose.

There may be other circumstances when Rudolph and Sletten will disclose to third parties the information that you submit online, most notably:

  • If we sell some or all of our business, we may disclose all of the information that we have collected about you to a purchaser or, in due diligence, to a potential purchaser; or
  • If we are required by law, such as when we respond to subpoenas, court orders, legal process, or a discovery request, or
  • If we believe that your actions violate applicable laws, or threaten the rights, property, or safety of our company or others.

Security

We want you to feel confident about using Rudolph and Sletten’s Applicant Self-Service Center, so we have implemented a security program to keep information that is stored in our systems protected from unauthorized access. Your submissions of information to our secure server are protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, utilized by most popular browsers, including Netscape and Microsoft Explorer, to safeguard transmissions. This technology allows us to use encryption tools to protect information transmitted between your computer and our server. Through encryption, the personal information you enter is converted into code that is then securely dispatched over the Internet.

Once our secure server receives your encrypted personal information, it is translated back into its original form and stored in our offline database. Only employees with a need to know are authorized to access your personal information.

While we strive to protect the information that you submit to us, we cannot guarantee the security of any information that you transmit through Rudolph and Sletten’s Applicant Self-Service Center, and you do so at your own risk.

Changes to This Policy

If we decide to change this policy in whole or in part, we will inform you by posting a notice at Rudolph and Sletten’s Applicant Self-Service Center. Those changes will go into effect on the date posted in the revised notice. The new policy will apply to all current and past users of Rudolph and Sletten’s Applicant Self-Service Center and to all information collected before the date of the change. The new policy will replace any prior policies that are inconsistent.
